Description of the Assignment:

Assess Philips Lighting Data science capability and define optimized way of working for data science/advanced analytics projects for Philips Lighting

 

Starting period: 2017

Duration: 6 months

Reimbursement: Students on work placement or final-year study assignment are paid a work placement or final-year study assignment allowance. This amounts to:

·         for university students: € 365 per month for work placement and € 460 per month for final-year study assignment.

Other Information: English speaking students are welcome. Philips Lighting will provide a mentor.

Enterprise Information Management

The EIM department manages the information value chain for Philips Lighting. The EIM activities include master data management, data quality, enterprise reporting (business intelligence) and advanced analytics. EIM headcount of information management professionals is approximately 200, located in The Netherlands (Eindhoven), Belgium, Poland, France, United States, India, and China.  EIM as part of IT plays a key role in digitalization of business processes, decision making and customer experience. The information management IT platform consists of state of the art technology for enterprise reporting, advanced analytics and big data.

Define approach for customer journey analysis for Philips Lighting B2B customers (problem definition, solution design, data integration, analysis, presentation, action/business impact). Optional: extend to Consumer segment.

·         Optimize lead management process based on process analytics and develop a lead classification and routing algorithm to automate parts of the lead management decision making.

·         Increase opportunity win-rate by applying process analytics to improve the opportunity management process. Develop opportunity classification and routing algorithm to automate parts of the opportunity management decision making.
